There's an error on page 1. It states that the 2008 rules have precedence.

Doh! I'm just barely into MOD with 16 pts. Hrmm, shouldn't a lightweight or relocated battery be free at SP level? ;-)

Or I could just suck it up and get a roll bar.

Carry a fire extinguisher and get back into SP. Also, I believe front and rear sways are not free in SP, if you counted those, take the points out.

Hey guys,

I'm trying to get an official feel as to where my car will fit into BSP and what I can do to maximise points for the classing.

I guess I should go over mods I have. I assume I'm BSP.

06 STI.

Suspension:
front & rear sways with rear mounts.
koni 8611 DA's on 9kg front/7kg rear
Ground control camber plates F&R(front is mounted on top of strut tower)

groupN bushing in rear.
Whiteline lower balljoint kit
TIC fender braces

Drivetrain:
shift linkage bushings.
Cusco motor and tranny mounts

Motor:
Cobb stage 2
Catted DP,
up pipe
APS TMIC(or stock if needed)

Body:
WRX rear wing
Limited front lip.
light weight battery

Tires:
275 V710's on OEM STI wheels(I know...)
wheel spacers
ARP wheel studs

I'm looking at what points or things I can do to become a competitive BSP car with max prep point. just looking to see what I can do as per the rules so I can make wise choices

thanks guys!

Eric

Hey Eric,

Does this mean you'll be coming to play in the CASC-OR series this year? Good stuff....

I'm by no means a rulebook expert but I think you're a long way off being maximized in SP. I say scale back and come play in SS. Only issue is that you then have to be okay with 2nd place.... lol ;-)

I could be wrong, but I think the only things that put you into SP are the intercooler and the tires (assuming 275's are sticking out from your fenders). Not sure about things like the fender braces etc...

Anyhow, something to think about.

btw, the 2010 rulebook is out now.

I was thinking of what puts me in SS(or keeps me from being there)
Intercooler is no issue.
the 275's I don't have yet, so I can easily rock some 245's.

I'll check the book and see. I'm just having a hard time interpreting the meaning of some thing VS what parts I have(legal or not)

Thanks
E

Minor Passenger age change to 9 :) can take the daughter for a tear. I'll put in some grab bars first

Would be awesome if the 3 of us (Trung, Eric and I) could somehow line ourselves up into the same class this year... Hmmm.. Trouble is I'm not sure I'm ready to go the SP route with the car yet.

Eric, not to worry, that Trung guy seems to be getting a little soft in his old age... :-D

Trung, does this mean you won't be running the 240 this year?
