Anyone know where I might find maps for a Garmin Nuvi 255 locally? and quickly? UK in particular. I'd rather not have to order them online. I guess I need the miniSD card, do I?

Anyone know anything about this stuff?

Cheers!

You can download them from Garmin's website and transfer them to an SD (or Mini SD card if your model takes that.)

Else, check Best Buy and Future Shop ... they usually have CD's for North America and occasionally Europe.

Thanks Steve. I was hoping someone might know of a sneakier "Pacific Mall-esque" way.... ;-)

No GPS experts around?

Let me talk to my sources and see what they can come up with. How soon do you need it?

If anyone has UK maps for the Garmin StreetPilot c550, let me know....

Usually the maps are locked with a key and very tough to get an unlocked one. Garmin has gone so far to only let them work with 1 unit. I do have TOPO maps, but that's it. My Europe won't work with yours.
