Ok now it has started.

Up pipe, down pipe installed.
Stage 2 Cobbs tune installed.

Questions:
1) Dose anybody have a used turbo timer for sale?
2) Cobbs stage 2 states turbo back exhaust.
what is the down side of only having the front pipes done and should we run that tune? Or should I leave it stage 1 till we get the rest of the exhaust?
3) dose anybody have a cat back system thay want to part with

p.s. Works much better flashed as a manual trans and not an auto.

Noware did it even say to check that in the instructions that came with the AP

Answers.

1, Subarus do not need turbo timers.
2, You should be good, most cobb tunes are very safe
Check the TSC for catback.

Your best bet for a quiet cat back is an STi stock system. You'll be able to run stage 2 and its quiet and cost effective.
I sold mine awhile back but they are always available for around the 200 to 300 dollar range.
check buffalo scooby as well

Do Subies not nead to cool down the turbo after a semi agresseve run? Do thay not suffer from oil coking from high temps and no flow?
on a normal day it dose 30 + of these 5-6 days a week.

Nope.. Subies are both Oil and Water cooled, but it's primarilly water cooled. Unlike the old turbo's, there's not much oil at all in the housing. The turbo oil feed goes through a restrictor which is the size of a pinhead, that's about it.

Water is always present in the housing to keep it cool, and when the engine is shut off, convection keeps the coolant circulating. So basically, you don't need to keep it running for more than 10 - 15 seconds after a hard run.

There are a few exhaust systems for sale on the TSC at fair prices.

Rob,
I have the car that Jen tried last week. It only has the uppipe and down pipe, and the COBB stage 2 map. I contacted COBB before I had the pipes installed. They said their stage 2 map would be safe, but I wouldn't be getting everything out of it. I'm leaving my OEM catback on, and saving to get the car protuned by Mike @ Innovative.

Very Good thank you all for your insight.
Ill check the other sites for an exhaust system
good to know that the STIs sys has a performance gain over the plane WRXs sys
