Okay, thoughts on these tire temperatures? Running DDT CCW with the SW kink. Sunny, 25 deg C. ~3750lb (passenger included) 300whp STi. Tires are Hankook Z214. Tire pressures started at 32psi cold. -3.5 deg front camber, -1.8 rear, 1/16" total toe out front and rear.

Pulled in HOT and fronts were 42psi, 39 rear:

LF: 114 126 141 / 155 152 137 :RF
LR: 114 121 135 / 128 130 129 :RR

We dropped pressures to 38 / 35 and started flogging her again. Came back in, pressures were back up at 42 / 39 ! We found these temps:

LF: 143 165 178 / 164 181 159 :RF
LR: 126 139 165 / 155 161 159 :RR

Now the downside. This is the colour that Brembos are SUPPOSED to be:

This is a lightly toasted golden brown:

And when you've COMPLETELY toasted them, the RED Brembo logo turns BLACK and the GOLD paint turns to a reddish BROWN.

Right after a "no-brake" pedal to the floor situation (probably heat pushing the pads away from the rotor), the pedal returned immediately to firm. I love Motul RBF 600.

No brake vibration either! But... don't use inadequate pads and then pull in with no cooldown! It gets expensive.

Hey Tashko... interested in fabricating me some brake ducts?

Obviously, all seals and dust boots and the fluid will be changed for safety!

Carbon fibre ducts? 8-)

What size Z214's? C50's?

Don't use the brakes so much and run pads that actually have a transfer layer rather than turning your rotors! ;-)

They were 245/40/17 Hankook Z214's, C51 compound. You can see that the rears kept some transfer layer after the drive home from Mosport. The PFC-97's did scrub their layer off the front though on the back route home. Honestly, I like this feature. I never worry about vibration with the PFC pads.

But the PFC-97's get outside their temperature range on the front of the car and don't have enough brake torque. I need a newer PFC compound like an 01 or 03 for the front.

Something like these that mount where the brake splash shields would:

if you still have the hotbits, mounting the ducts to hubs is no problemo... running a hose to the ducts is extremely difficult, with my tires it can not be done without lots of diy fab work

How thick were the pads when you started? When you finnished?

And it looks to me like you are using a Brake fluid that is too high quality for your brakes...

If the fluid was more 'street' friendly, then you never would have been able to get your capilers to change colour like that. 8-)
