Nokian WR's are really really good tires, it's an all season that's got the snowflake symbol and it works really well. The only drawback is the price, they are very very very expensive.

I personally use the Toyo Garrit winter tires, and I find them a good all around snow / ice tire.

BMW? Audi? Infinity? Mercedes? :-D I am running the Hankooks and they serve me very well.

Depending on HP and Car Weight I would look at the following.

Hankook Icebear W300
Yokohama Ice Guard IG20
Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60

I wondered how long it would take some one to ask...lol

I guess the 5x112 gave it away

Nordfrost 5's are good too, but they are a true snow tire not a city snow. Could be good in London!

I have the W409's on the A4 and they work very well. Tested them last night.

Jenny's running I-Pikes and as we live in a town ware the plowing policy is not on weekends
main roads only after 4" and side streets never
she has never got stuck. perform better on ice then snow but still very very good.
second season on them and well worth the price
as well it is a delivery car as well
and no major ware

my self I'm runic an old set of champaro WT60 cheep but descent

Andrew at Wheel and Tire Zone had Merc winter sets in the lobby; iPike 409's on no-name rims. His Hankook prices are pretty good.

Obviously check Talon as well. See if he has anything on clearance.

Company car, or tired of Fords?
