Is it safe to use wheel spacers for racing?

I'm interested in increasing the "track" of my car for Targa.

All depends on the width of spacers, if they're hub centric or not, and the length of the studs.

So if you don't go too crazy with it they may be fine?

I would assume this is the safest route, no?

Paul, what car are you using for Targa? Just get wider wheels with a lower offset. You can go with wider spaces with longer studs (ARP) or you can go with what Daniel posted.

My preference would be.

1. Proper wheels
2. Hubcentric spacers and longer studs (faster to go back to stock wheels.
3. Bolt on wheel spacers.

to convert that suzuki into the race version... bring the $$$ .

I never understood why we didn't get the euro-spec version... way nicer.
