Contact your nearest Ford dealer and get a role of "DPFE" hose Pricey but will not melt or collapse

It is normally used for egr pressure sense so its rubber hose (2 sizes available) that carries exhaust gases

Also, if you're anywhere near a Cisco outlet, they sell all kinds of hoses for different applications. It's a candy store for hoses and hydraulic lines.

Also any Fluidline store will have a similar selection. There's one in Oakville and near Stoney Creek for sure.

Cisco, the guys that make ethernet cards and routers?

I'll try the Ford dealership, teehee, (never been to one)

Vibrant also makes vacuum bits, available through JRP. I like Rob's idea though... that stuff sounds resilient.

called a ford dealer

asked them for "a roll of DPFE" hose, they told me "which one?" and then the guy goes on to tell me that they have plastic ones.. metal ones??.. with fittings??

i kept telling me i just wanted a roll of rubber ones and he just kind of scratched his head, told me to come in to take a look at it.

idiot parts guy or is there more to this?

Well, I have never seen or heard of metal or plastic ones.
heres and aplacation.

1998 ford torus, 3.0l v6
Rubber lines that run from E.G.R. tube to D.P.F.E. sensor.

I think the 2 sizes are 1/4 and 3/16 not 100% sure on that. I ether order the big one or the small one. :)

Last time i had to replace one I was told its now sold by the foot.

Daft parts guy :)

Good luck

Cisco Industrial Sales A Division Of Acklands-Grainger Inc‎

They carry all types of hydraulic, heater, air, and silicon hose. They make assemblies as well (made my turbo supply line). Also sell tools, and just about anything you would need for a heavy duty repair shop.
