I've been participating in this free/for fun only pool for a couple of years now. It makes following F1 a bit more fun because you have some skin in the game.

You get 100 points to allocate however you wish. Cars/drivers are weighted based on experience, success, etc.

Enter for SPDA F1 bragging rights, if nothing else. You can set up a list of friends to follow. You can post your BrakeDance ID in this thread to let someone follow you.

Here is the e-mail sent to last year's participants. Instructions for signing up, etc. are in it.
[EDIT - DEADLINE IS NOW MARCH 22]

2010 BRAKE DANCE Formula One Pool

We are very pleased to inform you that the entry form for the Brake Dance Formula One Pool is now open. There is no entry fee, no cash prizes and we are limiting entries to one per email address. You can go to the website and use the 'Wishlist', under the 'Extras' tab, to assist in making your picks. Click your 'Refresh' button to clear the page if you wish to try multiple combinations.

Robert Kubica will stay in the list unless and until he is replaced. That car is valued at 20 which will not change. Once you have found the picks that you like, then past entrants should log in with their user name and password and proceed with the official entry. If you forgot your password, click on the 'Submit' button in the upper right hand corner and follow the instructions.

New entrants 'only' should click on the 'New Entrant' button on the Home page and create a fresh account. Then you make your entry following the easy instructions. Keep a record of the user name and password you created so that you can access your account in the future to update your coordinates or email address or to look at your personal statistics and watch list.

To assist you in making your picks, we have posted the statistics from our pool for last season. Click the 'Extras' tab and then the 'Editorials' tab for the chart. Also, the 'FIA Results' tab (under 'Formula 1 Info') has the official results from last season.

So you're all set. Go to the Wishlist page and start working on your picks! The deadline is Tuesday night, March 8th at 10:00pm EST.

Click here www.brakedance.com and use your log in name and password to make your entry.

[Disclaimer: I don't have any association with anyone running this pool. I thought SPDA members might have some fun with it for the upcoming F1 season.]
