What do folks think about the claims made in this advertisement?

More traction AND longer tread life than competitive brands! These two performance characteristics are usually opposing each other, but the video suggests otherwise.

"Born from endurance racing,

1. Up to 12% better handling than leading competitors,

2. Up to 2 times longer lasting than leading competitors, and

3. Better braking than leading competitors.

Launching April, 2011.

Sounds a little too good to be true, but has anyone seen any comparison reviews?

Sometimes it pays to be the first, other times not so much. Give them a try and see how it goes. A lot of high end Porsches use the Pilot Sport Cup tires and do very well on them.

I'm running brand new Potenza RE070's, so I'm good for a while. Plus, the Pilot Sport Cups are too expensive for me.

I am impressed with the suggestion that they have advanced tire technology a big step, and the new Pilot Sport Cups are getting great reviews.

So it's nice to see.
