Out of my 2002 TS wagon daily driven street car, a 2.5L SOHC with approx. 120,000km and a 5MT with approximately 222,000km

The good:

- Engine runs quite strong (2nd place expert at ML Winter Rally)
- Always starts; no reliability problems
- Good mileage: 10L/100km to 11L/100km with my lead foot and non-aerodymanic light array on the front of the car
- It's still in the car so you can come look at it and drive it to see for yourself

The bad:
- Some piston slap on startup in winter, not in summer
- Some gear grind when transmission gets hot if you shift too fast, NONE when cold. Suspect a bad clutch release bearing.

Why I'm selling instead of fixing the release bearing:

While looking for a low km transmission to have on hand in case it's NOT the release bearing, I found a low km engine and tranny from an RS for better performance. So I'm swapping the whole thing, putting in a Stg 1 clutch and lightweight flywheel, etc.

Asking price: $1500 for engine and tranny negotiable upon release bearing condition after removal.
