subaru been long gone..... even in P-wrc (production) nobody runs them or barely.

wrc cars ran 1.6L turbo cars this year down from 2L. same hp but down on torque.

no where near the super2000 naturally aspirated cars. glad they never went that route like IRC. 280hp but under 300ft/lbs of torque from what i recall.

I agree that it's a big loss to WRC without Subaru. Perhaps by separating it from the Impreza line, the new STi will be developed as a tiny car that meets the new WRC 1.6L turbo regulations, like Ford did with the Fiesta.

Then they can get back into Rally! Would this not be good?

subaru left wrc in late 2008.... so its already been 3 season. Even in 2005-08, they were the smaller team compared to ford/peugeot/citroen. Now it's 2 team series... ford / citroen.

it's good that Mini is coming in... 2011 was a limited entry and 2012 should be full series.

the prob since 2001, the wrc cars only ressemble the street version.... there's absolutely nothing of them that's ressemble a stock car.... everything is changed.....

in the 90's, wrc cars stll derived from cars sold at the dealerships.
