This type of event will promote consistency, and foster the next level of competition for all participants.

What this type of ruleset eliminates is the ability for someone to "Fluke" a fast run for the day and walk away with the points.

This should prove to be an exciting series. Lots of work, lots of changes, but most of all, lots of fun.

Time to show off my mad "SPDA School" skills ;-) ...see ya'll there.

This is my first real event...is all the registration done at the event, do I just have to show up in the morning? Or does my car get classified catatory a head of time, or do any registration forms have to be filled out prior to the event?

I'm planning to come out with my WRX wagon. A couple of questions Tony:

Is this event open to all makes/models?

    Are passengers permitted?

    Is it rain or shine?

    thx

I've got a plain jane WRX, with a short shifter, Catback, and some ultra high performance RE92's.

Do I get some kind of handicap for the tires :-D

    I can't wait, it's going to be a blast!!

good idea on the summed times, rewards consistency, TLMC used to do this, your score was the average of your 3 best runs...

If you live in a house and the event is local to the GTA, do as much car prep as possible at home and leave the things that you won't need in the garage.

    Floor mats
    Spare tire
    Jack
    usual car collateral

That way you don't have to worry about anything getting wet.

The third and final event in the series in coming up on Monday 1 August. It has been a lot of fun for us and I'm anxious to run the last event. I love these rules where all runs count.

So if you're running the series or just want a fun event for a holiday Monday, come on out! If you've been to at least one of them then come out and see if you can win the big door prize. Or take your chances at some random door prizes.

I don't think that counting all runs should slow you down. Sure it helps to avoid the cones but backing off doesn't help either. It is still 10/10. Most people are bound to hit a cone or two. Don't be chicken, let's see who can total up the best score.

    See ya'll on Monday.
