    Injector sizing

Does anybody know what determines BSFC that people use to calculate injector size?
The online calculators say you should use around 0.6 for BSFC of a turbocharged car. Is this related to A/F ratio?
I have it in my head that FI cars run lower A/F than NA engines.

Also, I've read/heard that injector flow rates are specified at 43psi. Is this a standard?

    The learning never stops. :-o

    Re: Injector sizing

Hi Tashko er Sarak er Mr. Dick tater.

Most test are done at 43 psi, at Static. Some companies will do flow rates measurements at 43 psi but at various duty cycles.

BSFC is determined by many factors, and are to be used as guidelines only. As you know, different VE's will determine fuel usage / output.

CAMS, Compression Ratio, even rod / stroke ratio can modify VE.

A lot of words to say nothing.. LOL :-D
