Black Bear Rally - Call for workers

With just over two weeks to go to the 2013 Black Bear Rally on Saturday, July 13, we need at least 20 more volunteers, so if you have been procrastinating, please sign up now. For those of you who have already done so, how about convincing someone else to come with you? – no experience required. The Black Bear Rally, being the only full Regional event in Ontario, needs a few more helpers than the other OPRC events.

We have assignments waiting for radio operators, control marshals, road/trail blockers, electronic timers and a few jobs at Rally HQ.

The rally runs out of Gilmour with the stages on the Egan Creek forest roads of the Pines. It is a very compact route providing workers with lots of action.

Workers need to be at Rally HQ by 10 AM and Car 0 will finish around 7 PM. Thanks to our sponsors, all volunteers will receive a T shirt or drinking mug, plus will be treated to the Awards Banquet featuring a delicious home-cooked meal of roast pig. You will also be eligible for draws including the Clearwater Design kayak and other goodies.

If you have any questions about what's involved, feel free to PM me. It's really quite easy, and is generally a safe, relaxing day with better viewing of the rally than spectators get. I'll be there as well.
