    Rally - Perce Neige Results

    Congratulations to SDPA member Warren Haywood who placed 1st in Production GT (2nd Regional, 9th overall) with his Navigator John Hall in the Perce Neige Rally this weekend.

    Damage to the rear of the car was largely cosmetic. Leo was able to continue the rally, and pushed hard to gain second place overall by the finish.

    That road where Leo crashed looked super slippery. Glad it wasn't too major because it sure looked bad.

    Looks like it got loose under braking on Leo. Glad that he was able to continue.

    I don't think that Leo braked. You can see him on the right side of the road and a puff of loose snow comes up from his RF tire as he's about to get light over that crest. So the loose snow creates drag and rotation and he's in a spin with no weight on the tires because of the crest.

    Right before the nose hit the snowbank though it was about to be driver's door into the pole. It snapped at the last second to go "cheap side in". Lucky indeed!
