Thumbs up Forum Migration Bug Reports and Observations of Weird Stuff!!

If you see anything that doesn't look right, please report it here!

Note: You'll see that some older threads have blank posts. Sorry, we just couldn't avoid that without manually going through 11 years of messages and editing and pasting. If you notice a current thread that absolutely needs information ported over (like where to go on Pub Night, or important school data) then let us know.

Calendar button is not working. It's looking for devel.spda-online.ca.

devel.spda should still work but I'm seeing the wrong thing. But the calendar link is hardcoded, the links should be dynamic. Maybe the DNS needs more time. Also I get authenticated on the admin page but the session expires right away. I'll let the DNS settle down.

The Calendar link works for me, I added the Day 2 of the school on April 22nd to test it. No problemo's.. Perhaps cookie related?

Fixed. Brainfart on my behalf when I coded the link.

That's better. It's nice that the cookies follow the URL so it won't matter if there's a stray .ca/.com etc. Good work.

    Thanks for the clue Don.

It seems better now. The cookie setting in VB handled various URLs such as www and devel. etc but not the low level domain such as .ca and .com. I think I got the right setting now.

Flyer, Steve's working through registering the 2012 Paid Members, unfortunately it's a manual process.

How might I get a signature photo to show below my signature?

I uhh ... had turned them off to prevent image abuse... All too often people's signatures take up more space than the content of their posts!!

I turned them back on, the option should be enabled in your settings now.

There's a second step to the process, but after you've uploaded a compliant graphic, you then have to hit "Insert Signature Picture" and it will throw this code into your signature text:
Then it should appear like mine below.

Unlike the old site, the new website logs us out after 15 min of inactivity.

Can we increase that auto-log off feature to 45 minutes or even an hour, to prevent logging in again and again? It isn't an application that requires a significant level of security, and therefore we should be able to relax this parameter.

    What do you think?

Hey Laszlo, I set the auto timeout to 3600 seconds (1 hour) right about when we went live, perhaps a clearing of cookies should reset it if your session is timing out after 15 minutes still.

Also, if you click 'Remember Me' when you login, it shouldn't bother you about re-login.\

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I'll try it, thanks. It's bad when your Cookies are packing up. Ha ha.

I just came back to the site on my home desktop from last night and it remembered me.
