2014 Snokhana presented by SPDA & TSC

    Saturday March 1st, 2014

Hosted by Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville

This is a family friendly event so feel free to bring the family... it will be loads of fun!

Here is our proposed schedule for the day:
    Arrive on the lot: 8:30am
    Drivers meeting: 9:00 - 9:15
    Course Familiarization Walk: (2 laps walking) 9:15 - 9:30
    First runs out 9:45 am
3 official timed runs, with fun runs after the official runs.
Lunch served at noon, competitors will make their way to the food building after their run, eat, and head back to the course.
3:30pm back to the building - awards ceremony, raffle etc.

What we are holding is a Safe, Fun, and All Skill Level adventure in the snow reminiscent of a Winter Auto-X. This is going to be a fun event and open to anyone who wishes to come out and have a good time with their car in the snow - Amateur to Pro are welcome. The event is not limited to Subarus only - Come out with any vehicle you wish to participate in - daily drivers of any kind are just fine.

Using the air strip close to the resort we will be setting up a technical course that you will need to maneuver through while being timed. Time penalties added for going off course, hitting a cone, etc. At the end of the day, we will tally up the times and those people in with the top times in various categories will be rewarded!

These are the classes you can enter in:

    CLASS 1
    All front-wheel drive vehicles

    CLASS 2
    All Rear-wheel drive vehicles

    CLASS 3
All naturally aspirated four wheel drive

    CLASS 4
All forced induction four wheel drive

The winner of each class will receive a Trophy and we will try and bundle some prizes in as well.

A special Trophy for those that don't quite keep up to the rest of the pack will take home the coveted.... "Ricky Bobby" award.

Helmets will be required for this event (Snell M95 or SA95) If you do not own a helmet, some will be available let us know when you sign up if you need a helmet.

The competition portion is being designed and run by our friends at the SPDA, they will be ensuring that all proper safety measures are in place and that the course follows the strict guidelines for Motorsport events such as this. You can be rest assured that every precaution will be taken to ensure your safety, your vehicles safety, and spectator safety.

The cost to enter is $50 per person
(people can share a vehicle if they wish but each person will need to pay the entrance fee)

Here is the link to where to sign up and pay: https://www.toronto-subaru-club.com/...index&cPath=28

Your entry fee will get you: (in addition to competing)

    Lunch
    Ticket for raffle prizes.

There will be food available for spectators as well. The cost for non-competitors is $12.00

Please, do not delay in registering as we are liming the number of competitors to 45 people, so to make sure you get a spot, register early and don't wait. We want to make sure that everyone gets in several runs and we may need to cap the competitor number to ensure this.

Entry fees are non-refundable unless we cancel the event for an unseen reason, in which case we will happily refund the entry fee.

We understand that the venue is a bit on the far side, but we needed to do this in order to ensure we had snow and the proper conditions for the course, so, for those that wish to come up the day before we have secured some amazing room rates at Deerhurst Resort just for you.

With the rooms you can take advantage of all the amenities of Deerhurst Resort skating, pool, spa, skiing, etc. Check out their website to learn all about the things they have to offer. www.deerhurstresort.com

This makes it a perfect weekend get away. You may want to bring the significant other and let him/her enjoy the resort during the event (spa, pool, etc) while you enjoy the fun in the snow.... or get together with a bunch of friends and share one of the larger rooms. It's all up to you... but we do encourage it as it will ensure you are at the event on time, fresh and ready to go!

It will also give us all a nice opportunity to have some social time... it's been a while since we have had a big meet where we can all hang out and have some fun like we do in the summer....

Here are the room rates (as you can see, for those who want to share there are lots of options)

The course is sort of tricky to find. It is off Highway 60.

The best way to find it is via Google Maps using this address:

    MJD Paintball Muskoka Ontario
    1498 King's Highway 60
    Huntsville, ON P1H

    Hope to see you there!
