Wasn't able to rebuilt that surplus rack because the pinion bearing was seized - but I appreciate the experience of taking it apart.
Eventually ordered a rebuilt rack, got my lady love Christine to put it in with some Whiteline steering rack bushings and Kartboy endlinks and it was tight as a drum! She's the secret to all my auto tech skills, really.
With a top-drawer alignment from Scott at Can-Alignment it really handled well down Southwood Rd afterwards.
